A few black beads are added to an eye pin to finish it and also to get a nice contrast.

Take off the removable head of the 18K gold bangle. String the golden agate nuggets and the ceramic bead in the manner shown in the picture. Put the head back on. Simple!

To make the earrings:

Attach a bail to each of the nuggets. String a black bead on the eye pin and make a loop using basic technique  A. To the eye of the pin, attach the bail to finish it off.

Red n' black Set

7/19/2011 8:14 AM By Priya Menon

The metal connectors were so pretty and there were quite a few patterns to choose from. I picked the one with flowers and decided to combine it with the red beads, as red & black are an excellent combination. The beadcaps are fancy too, creating an interesting pattern on the drops and charms.

The connectors have links between each flower and so extra jump rings or other materials are not needed to attach each piece.

I love long earrings, and first made a really long one (which dropped down to my shoulder). As I tried it on, my kids started pulling it and reminded me that I have to wait for a few more years to be able to do that!!!

You'll need:

For the necklace:

16mm Round red resin bead
Metal flower black connector
Black fancy beadcap
Black metal clasp
Black metal headpin
Black metal eyepins

For the bracelet:

16mm Round red resin bead
Metal flower black connector
Black fancy beadcap
Black metal heart-shaped toggle & clasp set
Black metal headpins

For the earrings:

16mm Round red resin bead
Metal flower black connector
Black fancy beadcap
Black metal headpins
Fancy nickel earheads

You'll also need:

Wire cutters
Round-nose pliers

To make the necklace:

I used a set of two connectors between each bead and used the headpin to attach it(using the method in basic technique A) to either end of the connector. For the pendent, I added a bead cap to the bottom of the red bead and attached it to a connector(a set of two, again). I then attached this to the middle of the chain. To either end of the chain attach each half of the clasp, to finish it off.

To make the bracelet:

The connectors form the main chain here, and the beads and connectors are used as charms. Add a bead cap to each red bead and attach it to a connector and attach it to the main chain, using the basic technique A. On either side of the chain, attach a metal toggle and clasp to finish.

To make the earrings:

Add a bead cap to a headpin and attach it to a red bead, using the basic technique A. Connect this to the flower connector( I used only one connector, but feel free to add more if you like long ones). And finally, connect this to the loop of the earring head.
